The Heritage Canada Foundation released its 2009 top ten “Endangered Places and Worst Losses” list and a site in Amherstburg is on the list of endangered places.

The Bellvue House, located in the 500 block of Dalhousie St., is on the list and is described by the Heritage Canada Foundation as “a National Historic Site connected to the War of 1812 – a shocking case of demolition by neglect.”
