Thanks to the support of members from across the country the 2007 UELAC Conference was a great success! With the help of Bicentennial Branch volunteers the registration/information table was manned throughout the conference to answer questions and seek out information when needed.
Twenty-five branches were represented at the Annual General Meeting held on Saturday, June 2nd. Dominion President Peter Johnson extended his appreciation with the following words,
"The measure of a successful Conference is that the tours were educational, the entertainment delightful, the AGM profitable and opportunities plentiful for visiting with members from across the country. Congratulations to Bicentennial Branch, and especially their Conference Committee for accomplishing this. Great job!"
Over one year of planning and many hours of preparation resulted in a memorable weekend for everyone involved in the 2007 Conference.
Special recognition is deserved by Kimberly Hurst who headed up the committee and gave her full attention and energy to creating a quality event. Albert Schepers, Margie Luffman, Dianne Noble and Bonnie Schepers made up the rest of the team and together we extend our thanks to the many volunteers who assisted in so many ways to make the 2007 conference a success. We look forward to joining our friends from across the country in Saint John for Conference 2008!
